HiQuiPs Incubator

Created in collaboration with CanadiEM, the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians (CAEP), and McMaster University Program for Faculty Development (PFD), this program offered by HiQuiPs was a CME accredited 9-month incubator that ran between 2021-2022 with a cohort of 10 incubatees working simultaneously as quality improvement, health informatics, and patient safety specialists in the Canadian healthcare system. Program Overview

This longitudinal, asynchronous program was comprised of 7 six-week sections (modules) delivered over a 9-month period. Each section contained the following:

A didactic presentation
Assigned readings
One 2-3 hour live virtual session:
- Discussion on section topic
- Journal club with related articles
Section assignment
- E.g. blogpost, abstract, project charter, business proposal, presentation, activity leadership
Section online discussion of "controversial" HI/QI/PS topics
Virtual touch points
